TRAINING: LATHE

In this practical training, you will learn how to operate and use the conventional lathe at Happylab Vienna for your own projects.

You will learn:

  • Clamping of turning tools
  • Face turning, longitudinal turning & parting off
  • Working with automatic feed
  • Turning dimensions to size
  • Taper turning, drilling, reaming, knurling
  • Recognizing sources of danger and accident prevention

To use the lathe at Happylab, you need both this training and the General Safety Instruction (GSI Metal). The order in which you complete them is up to you.

The minimum age is 18 years. Whether you are already a member of Happylab or just want to try out the conventional lathe, you are welcome.
